I have no idea if this is any good or if $176 is a good price. So I figured I would ask you all. Or if you don’t think this is a good option then maybe you want to buy me my dream Glycine Airman 46

Too bad the stitching on the leather doesn’t match the blue stitching in the GTO.

I am ok with the blue leather and white stitching. Matches my gloves lol.

For the eBay page

It uses Dynatron ESA movement developed from 1962. Inside you will find an electro-magnet and circuit board to swing the balance wheel and from there on is just like a mechanical watch but with just a different power source. The movement is featured on page 124 of Pieter Doensens famous “ Watch “ book.

I have no idea if it’s a good watch, but I like it.

I like it. It might be hard to repair though. Electronic watches parts are hard to find.

Hmm, that is a fair point. I’ll keep looking or saving for a watch I would rather have

Start small and distinctive. Set your budget and look. Set your preferred type of movement and style. For example I like hand wonders with traditional dials and no rolex. . Let me know if you need more pointers.

I bought two vintage Seiko watches from watchesking2015 off ebay for ~$20 each w/ shipping. Lots of similar sellers in India and Pakistan who sell restored vintage watches for dirt cheap. Note expect about a month or so for shipping so its no Amazon prime. Image is one of the watches I bought. YMMV

Well right now I’d like to keep it under $300. I like a classic look or something strange, but not showy. I am definitely looking for something 60s-70s vintage. I could use many pointers.

As for movements I wouldn’t mind a manual or auto. I don’t think I’d like a battery operated atm.
